The site is at the end of a three mile drive from the village of Trefriw. Turn left immediately after the bridge in Trefriw (if approaching from Betws y Coed) and stay on the road leading to Crafnant. The road is extremely steep for the first part but then winds through farms and woodland, climing steadily until you reach Lake Crafnant. Stay on the road to the left of the lake until you pass a telephone box and the site is then through gates to the right. The road is suitable for vehicles up to small lorry size (the Propane Gas tankers make regular visits) but requires users to be able to reverse if necessary. Car parking at the Centre is limited, however, and coaches or caravans cannot use the road.
